Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of slow reduction of prednisone in the treatment of autoimmune hepatitis. Methods 86 patients with autoimmune hepatitis were randomly divided into fast group and slow group, with 43 cases in each group. The therapeutic effect, liver function indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of slow group was significantly higher than that of fast group (P<0.05). The index of liver function in slow group was significantly better than that in fast group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of prednisone slow reduction in the treatment of autoimmune hepatitis was better and the adverse reactions were not increased.
