An analysis on the quantitative tests of HBsAg and anti-HBs levels with magnetic particle chemiluminescence method in 23 069 different cases in Zhengzhou

Abstract: Objective To investigate the status and characteristics of patients with hepatitis B viral infection in Zhengzhou area by magnetic particle chemiluminescence method. Methods The data of 23 069 cases with detected HBV serum markers from January 2022 to December 2023 in the Second Peoples Hospital of Zhengzhou were selected for statistical analysis. Results There were 1 266 HBsAg positive cases (5.49%) were detected from the 23,069 patients. The positive rate in male (6.22%) was significantly higher than that in female (4.74%), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=24.42, P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the positive rate of HBsAg in different years (χ2=0.24, P>0.05). The positive rate of male was higher than that of female in different years, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=5.11、21.31, P<0.05). There were 13,681 anti-HBs positive cases (59.30%) were detected from the 23,069 patients, and the positive rate in women (60.78%) was higher than that in men (57.86%), the difference was statistically significant (χ2=20.29, P<0.05), The anti-HBs positive rates of the cases in different years, genders and ages were statistically significant (χ2=43.16, 103.18, 30.40, 100.21, 250.76, P<0.05). Conclusion The positive rate of HBsAg in male was higher than that in female, and the positive rate of anti-HBs in female was higher than that in male in Zhengzhou. The high protective capacity of hepatitis B antibody in Zhengzhou population is insufficient, suggesting that active immunity for HBV infection should be strengthened.
